El libro, compilado por Facundo Cruz y Gastón Pérez Alfaro, trata sobre el aprendizaje de una crisis, una de las más grandes que tuvimos que afrontar en Argentina.
El libro, compilado por Facundo Cruz y Gastón Pérez Alfaro, trata sobre el aprendizaje de una crisis, una de las más grandes que tuvimos que afrontar en Argentina. El argumento central: en un momento donde la región ve tambalear sus instituciones, donde la inestabilidad política, económica y social aumenta, y los poderes constituidos enfrentan graves problemas de gobernabilidad, el sistema político muestra signos de estabilidad en sus procesos políticos regulares. Esto resulta un dato destacado a partir del aprendizaje que ha tenido la dirigencia política sobre la toma de decisiones públicas.
Los autores se propusieron rastrear de manera rigurosa, precisa y analítica distintas aristas de la política argentina para describir y explicar estos 20 años post terremoto. Para eso se concentraron en analizar el sistema de partidos y sus principales actores, el vínculo representativo, el funcionamiento del Estado, de los gobiernos municipales y las posibilidades de desarrollo local, el vínculo entre las instituciones de gobierno, los gabinetes presidenciales, el rol de la Corte Suprema de Justicia y el funcionamiento del Poder Judicial, las políticas asistenciales, la política exterior y las políticas educativas a nivel universitario. También reflexiona sobre el rol del análisis político en tiempos de crisis ni sobre los usos de la memoria en los gobiernos recientes.
